Instructions

All you need to do is download and install the current version from our website: BPFTP Client Website

If you have purchased BPFTP Client, then the program will automatically see your registration code and the trial version you downloaded and installed will turn-into the full-version.

Where did my Bookmarks Go!??!

Starting in v2.5x, the installer was changed to use the version-number in the default location for the program. Since the "Bookmarks" are stored in a folder called "Sites", in the installation directory; this causes the program to not load your bookmarks from the previous version.

In order to retrieve your "Bookmarks", all you need to do is copy the "Sites" folder from the previous installation and drop a copy into the new installation.

Default Installation Directories

Version Directory
<= v2.4 C:\Program Files\BPFTP
v2.5x C:\Program Files\BulletProof FTP Client v2.5
v2.6x C:\Program Files\BulletProof FTP Client v2.6

How do I copy the "Sites" Folder?

This is very simple to do, assuming your copy of Windows is installed using defaults, the below instructions will work perfectly. If it's not, then you're probably a Power User and don't need these instructions (you know just how to do it).

Close BulletProof FTP Client and make sure it's not running.

1. Double-Click on "My Computer" 2. Double-Click on your "C:" hard-drive 3. Double-Click on the folder named "Program Files" 4. Double-Click on the previous installation (see above for list) 5. Right-Click on the folder named "Sites" and select "Copy"

You now have the "Sites" folder in your clipboard, we just need to paste it in the new directory.

6. Double-Click on "My Computer" 7. Double-Click on your "C:" hard-drive 8. Double-Click on the folder named "Program Files" 9. Double-Click on the new installation (see above for list) 10. Right-Click in the white-space of the directory listing (not on a file/folder) and select "Paste"

You will now see the "Sites" folder in your new installation directory.

Start up BulletProof FTP Client and you'll see the Bookmarks now there!
