User Not Kicked or Banned

The "kick and ban" feature is working correctly.

However, this feature will kick or ban the user after X tries of a false user/pass combo only if the user stays connected for the X tries. If you are attempting to test this with BPFTP client, we apologize for the confusion, when BPFTP client retries to login, it actually disconnects and then connects again before attempting to login again.

If you would like to block a user on the basis of the user's connection pattern, you can use our "Anti-Hammer" feature. This feature will block the IP of a user for X minutes if the user has Y (unsuccessful login) connections within Z seconds.

  • Setup --> Advanced --> Hammering --> you can select 'Anti Hammer'
