Why Isnt Smart Explorer Free

In order to pay for people to support and enhance Smart Explorer, we must charge a modest fee. We haven't yet figured out a way to get employees to work for free. (believe us, we've tried. :-)

"Well then, how come I can get a free browser from others?" you might ask.

Other much larger companies have many other revenue streams that allow them to give away browsers. Microsoft makes a big profit on each copy of Windows, and AOL on its monthly access charges. We hope that someday Smarteque will be as large as Microsoft or AOL, and when that day comes, you have my personal promise to give Smart Explorer away for free. :-)

Besides, Smart Explorer does a lot more than the free browsers do, and with your help, we will continue to add new functionality. If you really like Smart Explorer, I urge you to join our registered users. There is a small one time fee of only $19.95 USD. That's much cheaper than the other extended browsers, and upgrades to new versions are always free.
